The Beach House, Frinton on Sea : Booking Terms and Conditions
CONTRACT: The contract for a short term holiday
let shall be made between the client and Beach House Properties. The contract will be entered into when the deposit
is paid and the confirmation has been issued. The person named on the booking form will be responsible for the rest
of the party. The contract will be subject to the following conditions:
1.Payment A non refundable deposit of £250.00 is required together with the completed
booking form and a signed copy of the terms/conditions. When this is received we will confirm your booking in writing.
The remaining balance will be required no later than six weeks prior to commencement date of the let. Payment
is required by cheque payable to Beach House Properties. Alternatively the deposit and/or balance can be paid via internet
banking, details available upon request. A refundable breakages/security deposit of £500 is also required which should
be paid when the final balance is due. This will be refunded to yourselves within 7 days of your departure provided
that the house is in good order throughout and left in a similar condition to when the let commenced.
Short notice bookings, i.e. within six weeks of commencement date, will require payment in full when
booking.
2. Cancellation Notice of cancellation must be made in writing or by email.
Once we have received notice the following refunds will be given if you are eligible:
Within 14 days of commencement date : no refund
Within 28 days of commencement date : 25% of the
balance paid
Within 42 days of commencement date : 50% of the
balance paid
More than 43 days of commencement date : 10% of any balance paid
If we are successful in re-letting the house for the date that you originally booked, then we will refund
what you have paid in full less a £25 administration fee.
We do recommend that you take out separate holiday cancellation insurance in order to protect yourself
in the event that you need to cancel at short notice.
If for any circumstances beyond our control we have to cancel your booking, i.e. fire damage
or irrepairable utility supplies, then you will receive a full refund.
3. Changes in Date : If a request is submitted more than three months
before the date of the booking, and provided the property is available, then we will consider a change in date.
4. Period of Hire: Rentals commence at 4pm on the day of arrival.
Please vacate the property by 10.30 a.m. in order to allow our housekeepers to prepare the house for the next guests.
5. Security: The client is responsible for the security of the property
and its contents during occupation. Baggage and personal effects are at all times the client's own risk.
6. Damage: The client is responsible for leaving the property, all furniture
and effects in good order and condition. Any damage to the contents should be reported immediately in order to allow
for rectification as soon as possible. If costs are incurred to rectify the spillage of red wine and other
stains to the carpets within the house, then this may be taken from your security deposit.
7. Care: The client shall take all reasonable and proper care of the property.
The client is responsible for the clearing and cleaning of the house, and it must be left in a clean and tidy condition at
the end of the letting period. Lighting fires or burning rubbish on the property is not permitted. Smoking is
not permitted in any part of the house. We regret that pets are not allowed at the property.
8. Persons Using the Property: The number of persons occupying the property
must not exceed the number allocated in the bedrooms. Any subletting is not permitted. Caravans, tents or additional
accommodation may not be used on the premises or grounds.
9. Safety : All the windows in the house are fitted with safety ventilation
catches in order that they do not slide open more than six inches. If any guest disables the catch to open the window
fully, then it is done at your own risk with no liability on our part if an accident arises. If the catch is disabled,
please ensure that it is re-enabled before the premises is vacated at the end of your stay.
The childrens climbing tower in the garden is fitted with safety matting. However, it is the clients
responsibility to ensure that children are fully supervised when using any of the play equipment.
10. Linen/Towels: Ample bed linen and bathroom towels are provided
for your stay. Please however bring your own beach towels and do not use bathroom towels at the beach.
11. Noise: We will fully appreciate that there will be noise within the
house, especially when fully occupied. However, in order to respect our neighbours, we would ask that noise is
reduced in the garden after 9pm. Fireworks are not permitted at any time in the gardens. Due to the close proximity
of neighbours, The Beach House is not suitable for any type of party wishing to have very loud music. As we wish to
keep to a family environment, stag and hen parties are not accepted.
12. Complaints: In the event that there should be any cause for complaint
during the occupancy of the premises, then please notify a representative of Beach House Properties as soon as possible.
Any serious problem must be confirmed in writing no later than 7 days after your stay.
13. Right of Entry: The representatives of Beach House Properties shall
be allowed right of entry to any part of the property at all reasonable times for the purpose of inspection or to carry out
necessary maintenance.
We cannot be held responsible for equipment failure during your stay, but we will make every attempt
to fix any failure as soon as possible.
Agreement to Terms and Conditions: When you complete your booking, you will be
issued with a copy of the terms and conditions. We will ask you to sign and return a copy to say that you have
read, understood and agree to the terms.
